About the musicians:
The Pearl Delta Chamber Soloists are internationally trained musicians, currently living and working in the Pearl Delta region. In their common goals of pursuing artistic excellence and audience connection, through a variety of flexible combinations in chamber music, they draw on a shared wealth of experience gleaned from four continents as soloists, orchestral and chamber musicians, prizewinners and recording artists.
Gleb Dontsov (violin) entered the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music under Prof. Eduard Grach. He was concertmaster of the Conservatory Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. A laureate of several competitions, he is acclaimed throughout Europe and China for his musicianship and leadership. From 1998 he was the concertmaster of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China.
Marianna Terteryan (violin) studied at the Moscow Gnessin School for gifted children from the age of four. She graduated from the Moscow Conservatory under Eduard Grach, and is the laureate of numerous international competitions. She became a soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic Orchestra in 1997 and has performed as soloist with other famous orchestras throughout Europe and Asia.
Leanne Manning (clarinet) holds degrees from universities in Australia and the USA. The recipient of several prizes and scholarships, she has worked with numerous orchestras and ensembles in Europe, Asia and Australia, and has made solo appearances at international festivals in Australia, Japan and Italy. Leanne was Principal Clarinet of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China from 2002-06. She has been a member of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong since 2002.
Mary Wu (piano) is a highly acclaimed soloist, chamber musician and recording artist. A recipient of the Chappell Gold Medal - the most prestigious pianist prize given at the Royal College of Music, London - she completed her doctoral degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA in 1992. She has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras including the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
